INSTALLATION / UNINSTALL

This ShareWare program is distributed as a single compressed file, named Rhymes40.zip.

It replaces Rhymes10.zip, Rhymes20.zip and Rhymes30.zip. (Erase all Rhymes10, Rhymes20 and Rhymes30 files before installing Rhymes40, or install in a separate folder/directory. Do NOT load both into the same directory.)

It will operate only from a Windows program.

The program operates from an executable file (Rhymes.Exe), and supporting rhyme and help files, which should all be located in the same directory.

The program does not use *.DLL or any other files in any other directory, except for your existing Windows program files.

Use your Windows program to create a new empty folder (directory or sub-directory) with a name of your choice (perhaps C:\Rhymes if not already used).

Use PKUNZIP or your Windows UNZIP program to unzip Rhymes40.ZIP to this new directory.

This will require on the order of 900 kilobytes of disk space for the following files:

Filesize File Type File Purpose
(Kbytes)

Initial Files
252	Rhymes.EXE	The executable program.
600	45 Rhyme files	Named as A.1, A.2, A.3, E.1, E.2,E.3 etc.
26	Rhymes.hlp	This on-line help file.
2	Rhymes.ico	Icon file for use with Windows Desktop shortcut

Files created when program is run
9	Rhymes.gid Help file search list
<1	UserID.txt User information data file.

The program does not create any other new, nor modify any existing, files.

The Rhymes40.zip compressed file also contains two informational files, titled Readme.txt and Vendinfo.diz. These files are included only to provide program information and are not required for operation of the program. (You may delete these two files after you have installed your program and
no longer need this information.)

To run the Rhymes program, change to the Rhymes directory that you chose and type Rhymes <Enter>. (The executable program is Rhymes.Exe)

You may use the Run command from the Program Manager or Explorer, depending on the version of Windows that you are using.

You may find it more convenient to set the program up with an icon in a program group and/or put a shortcut icon on your desktop.

Should you need to delete the program, merely delete all of the files from the program directory (C:\Rhymes, if used). Then delete the program directory.

Please feel free to give a copy of your Rhymes40.ZIP file to your friends.
