README THE CELLAR DOOR MODS 9602

This is a general guide to the files included in CDORxxxx.ZIP.

NEW INSTALLATION:

If this is a first time installation of the CDOR mods, please take time to read
CDOOR.DOC and follow the directions therein. There are a LOT of things that
must be done to get a working version. This is no easy task and will take a
couple nights. Take your time, and you should have no problems. Jump into it
all without reading anything or just quickly scanning what I took quite a while
to write, and you WILL have problems!

UPGRADING:

If you are updating from a previous version of the CDOR mods, please review the
UPGRADE file for important information pertaining to this version that has
changed since the last version you have.

DISCLAIMER:

I do not make any gurantees that these mods will work. They DO work on my
computer just great. If anything goes wrong, it's all your fault, and I am not
responsible for your actions or my mods on your system nor responsible for any
loss whatsoever. But seriously, they HAVE been tried straight from these MRG
files and BAT files before being released. All bugs I am aware of are
documented in the file BUGS.BUG. All BUGS discovered inbetween versions are
posted, usually with FIXES in the CDOOR echo (see CDORECHO.DOC).

BE UP-TO-DATE!

The latest version of CDORxxxx.ZIP is always available from the Cellar Door RBBS
at (703) 913-5621 except between the hours of 6am - 7am EST when the BBS is only
available for NETWORK calls due to ZONE MAIL HOUR. The File is also FREQable
with the magic name of CDOR from 1:109/331.

IF YOU NEED HELP

I try to help anyone who asks. If you need help, call the BBS at the above
number or send netmail to me and I will answer. If you send netmail, your
answer will be routed back to you. Please have patience waiting for FidoNet
to return my reply! (Systems which are already setup for picking up mail
from The Cellar Door will not have a netmail message routed).

If you log onto my BBS, please leave questions in the CDOOR conference where
there are many other sysops running the CDOR mods who also might be able to help
which in turn helps me.

The BEST help is always available in the CDOOR echo, so I encourage you to
publically post your questions there where there's more people who may be
able to help you better than I can. Read on...
