Q. How many records can Columizer handle?

A. Columizer can handle as many records as the Microsoft Access database engine can
handle. Other factors include how much RAM you have; how much hard-drive space
you have; how many fields (and their sizes and types) in your database. In other words,
the database can handle as much data as you have RAM to keep its engine processing the
records, and hard-drive space to hold the growing database.

Q. I noticed that when I tried to open my Access 2000 database in Columizer I got an
error message. Is that going to be a problem?

A. You will be able to open Columizers database (columizer.mdb) with Access 2000
after converting it to Access 2000s format. BE SURE TO SAVE THE CONVERTED
TABLE AS ANOTHER FILE, since Columizer will not work with 2000s file format.
Since opening an Access 2000 database in Columizer creates an error message, you can
create a table in columizer.mdb (using Columizer) and import it (using Access 2000) into
an Access 2000 database.

Q. Why did saving to database not produce any results?

A. You might have entered more spaces in the "Enter delimeter:" field (on the Save to
Database tab) than was entered in the "Text to add:" field (on the Add Text tab). The
number of spaces MUST be the same. To verify the number of spaces, count the spaces
between each segment of data, and enter the same number of spaces in the "Enter
delimeter:" field.

Instead of using spaces as a delimiter (which then creates problems), you could use any
other character, such as a comma or semicolon, in the "Text to add" field. Whatever you
use, just use that in the "Enter delimiter" field.

Q. How do I delete a row (record) from the grid on the Columize Text tab?

A. To delete a row, FIRST click in any column of the row to be deleted, click the arrow at the left of the row you want to delete (the entire row will be highlighted), then hit the Del(ete) key.
