2.43 [September 30, 2002]
Minor bug fix to prevent Access Violation if Passphrase Keeper tray icon is
double-clicked with no database open.

2.42 [September 23, 2002]
---New---

Passphrase Keeper is now limited to 64-bit (8 character) passwords FOR ITS OWN DATABASES ONLY (i.e. for the password to protect and encrypt your Passphrase Keeper databases). You may still store longer passwords in the "Password" field of each entry.

If you have databases created with an older version of Passphrase Keeper, you can still open them using version 2.42; however, you will not be able to change the password to anything longer than 8 characters.
IMPORTANT! Once you edit or save a database with version 2.42, you will not be able to open it in any older version!

This change was made to comply with U.S. export requirements governing products using encryption.

2.41, build #242 [July 7, 2002]

---New---

You can now enter passwords using an on-screen keyboard (by holding your mouse over symbols). This prevents keyloggers and other malicious programs from intercepting your passwords - especially useful in public places like schools, libraries, cyber-cafes, etc. For highest security you should also use "drag & drop" instead of Windows clipboard in public places (some spy programs intercept Windows clipboard data). Note that the "Fill In" button (in the upper left corner) and the hotkeys use Windows clipboard for transfering the passwords.

2.4, build #215 [June 21, 2002]

---New---

New options added:
Close button [X] on main window exits the program (turned off by default).
Open the program's main window immediately after launching (turned off by default)

2.39, build #207 [May 8, 2002]

2.38, build #203 [March 10, 2002]

---New---

When PK is loaded and the database is closed you can go straight to the password prompt (for the most recently used database) by clicking on the system-tray icon.

---Fixes---

Minor bug fixes.

2.37, build #183 [September 26, 2001]

---New---

New help system.

2.36, build #169 [August 12, 2001]

---Fixes---

Fixed a bug that prevented items from being sorted when the "short date style" (on the Control Panel, click Regional Settings, and then click the Date tab) was MM-dd-yyyy (or dd-MM-yyyy) instead of MM/dd/yyyy. Now all dates are written in the format MM/dd/yyyy, regardless of your Regional Settings.

If you closed P. Keeper when the main window was maximized the button "Restore" on the system menu didn't function correctly after you run P. Keeper the next time. Fixed.

2.35, build #162 [July 25, 2001]

---New---

Added option "Always launch URL in a new browser window" (checked by default)

Added "Visit Web site in a New Window" command in the popup and Edit menu (popup menu appears when you right-click a cell in the item list).

New format for the title line: "Passphrase Keeper - database name".

2.31, build #110 [April 11, 2001]

---New---

Added option "Close the database after X minutes of inactivity" (disabled by default).

2.3, build #102 [March 24, 2001]
