Improved image handling.  Interlaced and other special GIFs should now
 work as expected.
Image archiving improved to save with correct format extension.

Version 1.8 beta 1   -  Released October 11, 1998 (for registered users)

Added camera tiling options.  Now 4, 9, or 16 cameras can be tiled on
 the desktop.
Downloaded images are now saved in numbered or dated files in the
 LiveSpy directory.  This allows the user to later browse the
 downloaded images or import them into an editor like Image Refiner.
Added controls to restrict updates to a certain time of day.
Minor improvements made to taskbar tooltip messages, including new
 tiled camera messages.

Version 1.7   -  Released August 23, 1998

Added and enhanced usage tips.
Added online registration links.

Version 1.7 beta 3   -  Released August 16, 1998 (for registered users)

Added 'Enhance Camera Images' option to improve the appearance of
 downloaded camera images. (registered version only)
Fixed bug that allowed two simultaneous camera downloads if the 'Show
 Camera' button was pressed.
Camera name now displayed in new, 'shadowed' style.
Improved icon and tip while camera updates in progress.
Fixed bug in 'Make Active' button of Inactive Cameras tab to move
 correct camera to the active list.
Fixed bug in auto-update that caused it to fail for long update
 lists. (registered version only)
Fixed bug causing crashes after a camera name was edited.

Version 1.7 beta 2   -  Released May 28, 1998 (for registered users)

A "Show Camera" button has been added in the camera list dialogs.  This
 button will now download the camera for immediate viewing on the
 desktop.
Camera list editing has been simplified.  Changes in the Favorite Camera
 list are now saved by default.  No more clicking 'Save Changes'.
"Tip of the Day"-style opening dialog added.  This provides helpful
 hints as well as an introduction to the program for new users.

Version 1.7 beta 1   -  Released May 10, 1998 (for registered users)

The camera list is now automatically updated.  The user can control what
 sort of updates are allowed. (registered version only)
Error messages shown in the ToolTip have been enhanced to describe the
 type of error that occurred.
The number of cameras is now shown above the camera lists.
Sorting on one attribute now performs a secondary sort on the other.
 This means that all cameras at the same longitude will be arranged
 alphabetically, for example.
Option dialog is now positioned close to the LiveSpy icon.

Added scroll bar to time selection list box.
Disabled aspect ratio check box when 'stretch' not checked.

Version 1.5   -  Released January 29, 1998

Provided the user with full control over the camera list.  The user can
 now add and remove cameras, as well as edit any camera.
Sorting of cameras is now allowed, by name or by longitude.
HTTP Proxy ports other than 80 are now allowed.
Complete camera information is now displayed in the Options dialog.
Longitude added to the camera list.

Version 1.3   -  Released December 29, 1997

Fixed bug where using a proxy server caused images to not update
 after the first viewing.
Updated camera list, adding several and removing obsolete ones.
Problem reporting is now done by the taskbar icon and tooltip help.
 Dialog boxes are no longer used.

Version 1.2   -  Released December 7, 1997

Added option to cycle between cameras in the list on each update.
Options are now saved each time they are changed.  This means option
 changes made since the program was started aren't lost in a crash.
A camera is now shown at startup.
Added shift-double click to move to the next camera and update the
 wallpaper.
Improved feedback on the status of an update with more detailed update
 icons in the task bar and verbose tooltips for the icon.
Added name of current camera to the taskbar icon tooltip when idle.
Increased stability by better detecting the image type and corrupt images.
Fixed bug where pop-up menu didn't disappear when you clicked somewhere
 outside of it.
Improved support for camera URLs on ports other than the default port.
