----------------------
The purpose of the program
----------------------

IconX is a utility program that allows you to extract icons from existing executable, dll or ocx files.

----------------------
What is Shareware?
----------------------

The principle of Shareware is that you can try the software before you buy it and avoid the gamble of paying for a shrink-wrapped package before using it. This way you can try software until you find one you like and then pay the licence fee to register your use of it. It's very important to register your Shareware to show your appreciation to the authors and ensure the continuance of the Shareware concept.

----------------------
Can you distribute this software?
----------------------

The original zipped distribution file is freely distributable as long as it includes this unaltered readme.txt file.

----------------------
Minimum Requirements
----------------------

To use IconX V1.0.2, you must have the following:

*    IBM-compatible PC
*    Windows 95-98, NT 3.51, or NT 4.0
