MAKE ANYTHING HAPPEN WHEN ANYTHING HAPPENS (with ECS) !
	----------------------------------------------------------------
ECS is a low-cost (yet POWERFUL) home automation software
program which can monitor and control virtually anything in
any manner. You can think of ECS as a full-time servant that
will react to any condition/occurrence per your instructions.
Since you can define ANY response to ANY condition, you can
MAKE ANYTHING HAPPEN WHEN ANYTHING HAPPENS.

Here are just a few examples of what ECS can do for you:

o	Record as many TV shows you wish, WITHOUT having to program your
VCR (or RE-program it every time you have a power glitch). And
unlike a VCR, ECS can select and record SATELLITE programming.

o	Remind you of upcoming dates/times (birthdays, anniversaries,
	appointments, pet-feeding time, etc.).

o	Announce who is calling when the phone rings (WITHOUT having to
pre-record their name), and display their name on your TV.

o	Answer your phone, play a customized greeting message for that
particular caller (perhaps one for family and another for business),
record the caller's message, and send your pager a message stating
	the name/number of who called.

o	Record messages from your family members when you are away,
which you may play when you call or return home.

o	Allow you to call your home from anywhere in the world to
playback your messages, check the status of any "item" (such
as security status), and turn anything ON/OFF.

o	Announce when your mail has been delivered.

o	Turn on your electric blanket on cold nights so your bed will be
	warmed by bedtime.

o	Start off your morning by opening the bedroom drapes, starting
the coffee maker, setting the TV or radio on your favorite news
program, and/or reading you daily reports from the internet
(e.g. weather forcasts, stock quotes, etc).

o	Monitor your home for intruders/fire/flood and if needed, sound
an alarm, turn on lights, call a neighbor, send a message to your
pager, and/or FAX a photograph of the intruder to your office.
You can also warn the intruder with a recording of your voice,
giving the impression that you are home, armed, and angry !

o	Announce when someone approaches your home (by foot and/or car),
display them on TV, and record them on your VCR.

o	Announce when a child or pet enters an off-limits area, or
wanders too far from the house.

o	Disarm security and open your garage door as you approach your
	driveway (eliminating false alarms).

o	Randomly turn lights on/off to make your home look occupied when
	you are away.

o	Monitor your energy consumption and predict your electric bill
	for the month.

o	Dim/brighten lights to accommodate different "moods" (party,
	dinner, reading, etc).

o	Send, receive, log, display, and print FAXes.

o	Send alphanumeric messages to pagers.

     o	Control your heat/air-conditioning systems and water-heater,
such that a comfortable temperature is maintained when you are
home, and energy is saved when you are away.

o	Water your lawn at night ONLY if it needs it.

o	Automatically determine when a specific Window is active, and
simulate any desired keystrokes or mouse-clicks in that Window.

o	Carry out any task upon a spoken command or the push of a button
from any remote telephone, remote control, keypad, or pendant.

o	Display system status/menus on your TV, allowing adjustments via
any remote control, keypad, or pendant.

Now that you have some idea of the power of ECS, here are some
additional reasons to make ECS part of your home:

     o	Control/Flexibility: ECS can monitor/control virtually anything
in any manner you specify, and you don't have to a be a software
programmer to do so. For example, if you wanted your living-room
light to come on at 8PM, you would enter the following statements:

"If Time Is Now 8:00 PM"
		"Then Living-Room Light Set ON"

o	Ease of Installation: Most systems can be installed by a novice
	in an hour.

o	Cost: ECS systems are inexpensive, since you install it yourself
and purchase only the devices you require. The ECS software costs
only $195, and a "light" version is also available for $40, which
controls lights/appliances and monitors keypad entries. Therefore,
a minimal system costs around $90 if you already own a PC ($40
for ECS-Lite plus $50 for the powerline transceiver).

     o	Stability:ECS is a well-tested/proven system that is currently
used in hundreds of homes and offices nationwide. For objective
opinions, you may contact our customers by sending a message to
	ecs-list@vancouver.ml.org.

o	Experience:Omnipotence has been in the automation business for
over ten years, with ECS being our sole product.

o	Extensive Documentation/Examples: ECS comes with a thoroughly
written user's manual and an extensive set of examples to perform
popular tasks. Furthermore, a bi-monthly ECS tutorial is featured
in the Home Automator newsletter (910-578-9519).

o	Support: If you have ANY problem or need advice, just give us a
call. You will be treated with courtesy and respect, and will NOT
	be put on hold.
