MailEye is a POP3 email notification utility. It runs in the background,
periodically checking your email accounts for messages. When there is
mail, MailEye can play sounds, talk, run your main email client, or
perform other actions you specify, all automatically.

To install: run Setup.exe (if you are installing over a previous
version you should install to the SAME directory, and do NOT uninstall
the previous version or you will lose your account info. if a previous
copy of MailEye.exe is running, you MUST EXIT it before installing.) 

To Uninstall: Using the add/remove programs control panel applet, Remove
 "MailEye v1.1"

MailEye requires:
-windows 98, or
-windows 95 with DUN update 1.3, winsock 2, and Internet Explorer v4
installed. (windows 98 recommended)

This release of MailEye has not been packaged with SAPI voice components.
If you do not already have them installed on your system, MailEye will
not be able to talk. To download and install voice components, or to
install additional voices, please go to:

If you receive an error message when running MailEye about "ws2_32.dll
not found", you do not have winsock2.

MailEye uses the newer HTML help system. To properly view help files,
you need win98, or win95 with IE 4 installed. (the help manual is also
available on the web: www.forceway.com/maileye.htm)

on the microsoft web site:

MailEye is not supported on WinNT. Some features will not work on NT.
