TeleQuick is an online telephone book for a business. TeleQuick uses notebook-style tabs to flip between employee and department pages that allows employees within an organization to have quick access to employee names, business extension numbers, cellular phone numbers, and beeper numbers. Using an automatic installation, the TeleQuick System can be installed on a stand-alone PC or a local area network which has a multiple-user environment capability. The following are some of the main features of the TeleQuick System: alphabetically displays employee names and telephone numbers within an organization and within a department; prints various report listings (for example, listings of executives, directors, departments, or employees); has dynamic search capabilities; permits only certain authorized individuals who have a password to input or edit the data when the system is on a local area network; can import and export employee and department information from and to an ASCII file; and can automatically dial a number by using modem and telephone equipment.

You can use this unregistered version for free for 60 days.

3. NETWORK INSTALLATION (Advanced Users)
----------------------------------------------------
TeleQuick uses the Borland Database Engine (BDE) to connect to a database. When TeleQuick is installed on a file-server, it must know where the BDE and the database are located. BDE uses the following Windows registry to store information: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\Database Engine. Under this key, there are two important Value Names called ConfigFile01 and DLLPath. ConfigFile01 is stored information about the database such as database location. DLLPath stores the BDE location. In order for each workstation to access TeleQuick and BDE on a file-server, please do the following:

1. Select Run from the Taskbar Start menu.

2. Unzip teleq25.zip to a folder if you received
TeleQuick in a zip file format.

3. Type the name of the file TeleQ25.exe,
including the full path to where the file
    is located (for example, C:\DOWNLOAD\TeleQ25.exe).

4. When the installation asks for Select Destination
Directory, select a folder in a network (a shared
folder in network drive). For example, H:\TELEQUICK.

5. When the installation asks for Borland Database
Engine Directory, select a shared folder in a network
    drive. For example, H:\TELEQUICK\BDE.

Configure Borland Database Engine

1. After TeleQuick installation is completed, run a program
called Bdeadmin.exe which is located in the BDE directory
    in the previous step.
    For example, H:\TELEQUICK\BDE\Bdeadmin.exe.

2. Under the Configuration Tab, expand Configuration
to Native and then select Paradox. On the right side where
it says NET DIR, enter the path where the BDE is located.
    For example, H:\TELEQUICK\BDE.

3. Close the program and save the configuration file.

Create a shortcut to TeleQuick for each user

1. Run a program called Setup.exe from each user's workstation.
This program is located under the TeleQuick install
    directory. For example, H:\TELEQUICK\Setup.exe.

Note:
During the TeleQuick installation, it created a file TeleQuick.ini which Setup.exe uses to create a shortcut. This file contains TeleQuick path, Borland configuration file, and Borland Database Engine path. This file may contain paths that are different from users who access these paths. You may modify this file to match paths that users see from their computers. You may also copy both Setup.exe and TeleQuick.ini from the TeleQuick directory to a different directory.
