2. Product Description
----------------------
TellTrail aims to help you provide outstanding customer service by helping you to take control of your communications with customers.  It enables you and your colleagues to track all of the contacts that you have with customers, and others.   You can log and track actions which may arise from a particular communication and with simple colour coding you can see at a glance when actions are becoming due.

3. System Requirements
----------------------
TellTrail uses Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)
version 2.5 or above which in turn uses DCOM.

If you are using Windows 2000 or some other Microsoft products you will 
already have the appropriate version of MDAC installed.

On earlier systems, before installing TellTrail, 
please run MDAC_Typ.exe which will check 
your installation of MDAC and upgrade if 
necessary.

If you are running Windows 95 you will also
need DCOM95.  Please run DCOM95.exe which
will add DCOM95 to your Windows 95 installation.

4. Installation Instructions
----------------------------
The zip file that contained this readme.txt file also contained a file called 
setupex.exe.  This file should be in the folder to which you unpacked the zip file.
That is the same folder as this readme.txt file.

To install TellTrail simply locate the setupex.exe file using Windows Explorer and double-click it.  This will start the installation process.  Follow the on-screen instructions to install TellTrail.

7. Getting Started with TellTrail
---------------------------------
AFTER installing TellTrail.

TellTrail installs with a number of default users and passwords setup 
to allow initial access.  The administator may wish to change these immediately 
and issue correct usernames and initial passwords.

Default user names 

TellTrail installs with the following default user names and passwords setup:

UserName/Password/Privilege

CallUser/Blank/General User
CallManager/Blank/May adjust global settings in Tools|Setup
CallAdmin/Blank/May administer new users and passwords

These are to facilitate initial access.

It is recommended that the administrator should change these before the 
application is deployed.

It is also recommended that the administrator has available a copy of the TellTrailUtils, please refer to the next section in this readme file.


8. TellTrailUtils
-----------------
TellTrailUtils is a companion product to TellTrail for which there is no additional charge.  It comprises a suite of tools for administrator maintenance of the TellTrail database.  It provides the following functionality:

Repair and Compact the TellTrail database.
Archiving.
Check whose logged on to TellTrail.
Remove User refs.  Should there be a network failure causing users to lose connection to a shared TellTrail database this facility will ensure that all users are successfully logged out.
