Black Book for Windows

This program is a Windows version of a program I wrote for DOS several years ago called Blaque Book. It is for those of you who have not become dedicated to electronic Personal Information Managers and prefer a printed address book. It will print a booklet in a size defined by the user, in a font and type size defined by the user and including only the fields selected by the user. The data can be entered via the program, imported from a DOS Blaque Book version or imported from Paradox or DBASE data tables containing appropriate information. Multiple data tables can be created to allow users to create and maintain separate booklets (ie for church or community groups).

Installation. Run the SETUP.EXE program in this archive. This will install both the Black Book program files as well as Borland's Database Engine (BDE). If you already have BDE installed, you can install only the Black Book files.

The program is Shareware. It is not crippled or time limited. It is fully functional and the number of entries per table is for practical purposes unlimited. Registration will remove the shareware notice on startup and insert the user's name in the main window title. Registration is a nominal $10 and is expected if you use the program longer than a reasonable trial period.

The program may be distributed freely in the form of the installation files included in this archive (Setup.exe, setup.1, files.1 and readme.txt). Simply copying the BBWIN.EXE and BBWIN.HLP files will not work without a properly installed BDE.
