INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE:  Simply copy the files into a directory.


INSTALLING FOR WINDOWS:

 If  you  want often load the program from Windows, you may install an
icon into a folder:

- Open the "File" sub-menu of the program manager.
- Click on the "New" option.
- There are three fields to fill:
  * type the name of the icon into the first field.
  * type the path and name of the program or the BAT loader into the
    second one.
  * type the path into the third one.
  * ignore the fourth.
- Click on the "change icon" button. Select an image and click on "OK".
- Click on "Ok" to end.

 I  have tried the program with Windows 3.1 and Windows NT.


STARTING UP:

  From Windows, use the file manager and click on the name.
  From the DOS prompt, type:
  Ex: ARTIST
  Ex: ARTIST DEMO             load a sprite file
  Ex: ARTIST ARTIST.ICO       load an icon
  Ex: ARTIST SCENERY.PCX      load a picture
  Ex: ARTIST DEMO.STO         load a storyboard

 If  extension is not typed, the program adds the DAT extension to the
name, and search for a sprite file.


OVERVIEW:

 Artist Of Virtuality is a set of utilities to make sprites, sceneries
and  animation  and  holds  a lot of innovatives programs to help game
making.
 Here summarized is what you can do with the software:
-  Design  16  or  256  color  sprites  for VGA or SVGA using powerful
functions: rotate, scale, cut & paste, shade, merge images or parts of
images with rotation.
 Sprite  you  create can take up to 320 x 200 pixels, and their number
is no limited.
- You  can  animate  sprites  from  within the designer.
- Convert format of sprites at a single click.
- Make standard icon or save sprite into binary or ASCII files.
- Define fractal trees and save them in short files.
- Change palette.
-  Make  PCX  screen  with  sprites  or  fractal trees or with drawing
functions.
-  Make  screens  for  adventure game: define objects location, design
path on sceneries for characters to move.

Pascal TPU have been compiled with Turbo Pascal 6.
 By  registering  you  will  also  get  the  latest  version with last
improvements, a printed manual and the (free) licence of use.
