   Menu Master is a menuing program with ten programable menu choices,1-10.
  Each Menu Master file (.TDF),contains the data for one menu screen. You
  may create many menu files with different names, each with a different
  set of menu choices.

   You may use a menu choice to call any program or dos command.
  You may also use a menu choice to change drives, directorys, or
  menu files.

   Special features include a file pick list that pops up when a
  menu item is chosen. The files of your choice will be listed and
  passed as a parameter to the program of your choice.

   F-10 will activate the menu bar, then you may choose File, Directory,
  Configure, or Help.

        File
                   Allows you to open existing menu data files
                   and create new ones.
        Directory
                   Allows you to change to the directory of your choice.
        Configure 
                   Allows access to 11 options for each of the ten menu
                   items or the screen Header.
        Help
                   Calls Menu Master Help or About Menu Master.

 File

                  When you select the file command from the
                 menu bar, the file pick box will be displayed.
                 You may type in a new menu data file name, or
                 use the arrow key to select an existing menu
                 data file.

                  After you have typed or selected a menu data
                 file name, press the Enter key.

                  If you decide not to open another menu data file,
                 press Escape.

 Directory

                  When you select the Directory command from the
                 menu bar, the Directory box will be displayed.

                 You may type a directory name, then press Enter,
                 or press Escape. If you Enter a directory name,
                 Menu Master will change to the directory of your choice.

                  When Menu Master changes directorys, it reads the menu
                 data file (current file name.TDF) in that directory if
                 one exists, if not, Menu Master will create one using the
                 name of the program (Menu Master or any name you may have
                 named Menu Master) or current menu data file name and the
                 tdf extention.

 Configure

                  When you select the configure command from the menu
                 bar, a pop down menu will be displayed. You may choose
                 a menu item from the configure menu by moving the selector
                 bar with the arrow keys, then press Enter, or press the
                 indicated red key.

                 If you decide not to make a choice from the configure
                 menu, press the Escape key.
             
           (Configure)Menu Item

                  When you select Menu Item from the configure menu,
                 the configuration data screen, for the current menu
                 item, will be displayed.

                  The configuration data screen contains all the
                 configuration data for the current menu item and
                 a menu to access each option.

                  Use the arrow keys to select the desired option,
                 then press Enter, or, press the indicated red key.

                  To exit the configuration data screen, press Escape.

                      Label

                  When you select the label option from the option
                 menu, The label input box will be displayed. You
                 may type a label to be displayed onscreen, then press
                 Enter.

                  If you press Escape, the label is erased from the
                 configuration data file and you return to the option
                 menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the label will remain
                 unchanged.


                      Called Program

                  When you select the Called Program option from the
                 option menu, The Called Program input box will be
                 displayed. You may type the name of the program(exe
                 or com file), then press Enter.

                  If you press Escape, the Called Program is erased
                 from the configuration data file and you return to
                 the option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the Called Program will
                 remain unchanged.


                      Called Program Parameters

                  When you select the Called Program Parameters option
                 from the option menu, The Called Program Parameters
                 input box will be displayed. You may type the parameters
                 (switches) to your called program (exe or com file),
                 then press Enter.

                  If you press Escape, the Called Program Parameters are
                 erased from the configuration data file and you return
                 to the option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the Called Program
                 Parameters will remain unchanged.

                      Directory

                  When you select the Directory option from the option
                 menu, The Directory input box will be displayed.

                  The directory you enter here will be the directory
                 Menu Master will change to before executing your called
                 program (even if on a different drive). After the
                 called program has stopped running, Menu Master will return
                 to the current directory (unless you have set the
                 option [Stay in Directory] to YES).

                  You may type a directory name, then press Enter.

                  If you press Escape, the directory name is erased from
                 the configuration data file and you return to the
                 option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the directory name will
                 remain unchanged.

                      File Extention (pick list)

                  When you select the File Extention (pick list) option
                 from the option menu, The file extention input box will
                 be displayed.

                  If you make an entry in the file extention input
                 box, Menu Master will display a file pick list when that
                 menu item is selected. The file pick list will display
                 all files matching the extention you enter in the file
                 extention input box.

                  The file extention you enter here will be the file
                 extention used by the file pick list to determine which
                 files to display and pass as parameters.

                  You may type a file extention, then press Enter.

                  If you press Escape, the file extention is erased from
                 the configuration data file and you return to the
                 option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the file extention will
                 remain unchanged.


                            Using The File Pick list

              To use the file pick list, you may use the arrow keys   
             to select a file, then press enter, or, type a file name 
             and press enter. To exit the file pick box without       
             selecting a file, press Escape.                          
                                                                      
              Menu Master will pass the selected file name as a       
             parameter to the called program.                         
                                                                      
           

                      Clear Screen

                  When you select the Clear Screen option from the
                 option menu, The Clear Screen box on the configuration
                 data screen will say YES if it said NO before and it
                 will say NO if it said YES before.

                  If you set the Clear Screen option to YES, the screen
                 will be cleared when this menu item is selected.

                      Stay in directory

                  When you select the Stay in Directory option from the
                 option menu, The Stay in Directory box on the
                 configuration data screen will say YES if it said NO
                 before and it will say NO if it said YES before.

                  If you set the Stay in Directory option to YES, Menu Master
                 will not return to the original directory but will stay
                 in the directory entered in the directory name box, when
                 this menu item is chosen.

                      2nd Command

                  Each of the 10 menu items available in Menu Master, has the
                 capability of executing a second menu choice. To enable
                 a menu choice 2nd command, enter the menu choice number
                 in the second command box.

                       If the menu choice you     
                       select as a second menu    
                       choice also has a second   
                       menu choice, that menu     
                       item will also be executed.
                      


                  If no Second Command is desired for this menu choice,
                 the Second Command must be set to 0.

                  When you select the 2nd Command option from the option
                 menu, a Second Command input box will be displayed.
                 Type the menu choice number you wish to execute as a
                 second command and press Enter.

                  If you press Escape, the Second Command is set to 0,
                 and you return to the option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the Second Command will
                 remain unchanged.

                      New Menu File

                   You may select New Menu File and Menu Master will read and
                  display the menu items in that file. This will look and
                  act like any other menu choice, except, instead of starting
                  a program, Menu Master reads a new menu file.

                   When you select New Menu File, the new menu file box
                  will display the file name found in the called program
                  box, YOU MUST ENTER THE NEW MENU FILE NAME (including tdf
                  extention) IN THE CALLED PROGRAM FIELD.

                   If you select New Menu File and there is not a name in
                  the called program field, the new menu file box will be
                  blank. (you must enter a menu file name in the called
                  program field)

                   If New Menu File is not selected, the new menu file box
                  will display None.

                      Pause Before Returning

                  When you select the Pause Before Returning option from the
                 option menu, The Pause Before Returning box on the
                 configuration data screen will say YES if it said NO
                 before and it will say NO if it said YES before.

                  If you set the Pause Before Returning option to YES, Menu Master
                 will pause and display a press any key to continue message
                 after executing the called program when this menu item is
                 chosen.

                      Hot Key Letter

                 When the Hot Key Letter option is selected, an input box
                will be displayed in the hot key letter box. Type the letter
                or number of your choice to be used as the hot key(red key).

                  After you have typed a new hot key letter, press Enter to
                 return to the option menu.


                  If you press Escape, the hot key letter will remain
                 unchanged and you return to the option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the hot key letter will
                 remain unchanged.

           (Configure)Header



                  The header label is also programable. Each screen may
                 have a useful name,if no name is entered, the header
                 defaults to the file name.

                  If you select Header from the configure menu, the header
                 input box will be displayed. Type the header you want to
                 appear at the top of the Menu Master screen, then press enter.

                  If you press Escape, the Header is erased from the
                  configuration data file and you return to the option menu.

                  If you press Enter before typing anything, you will
                 return to the option menu and the Header will remain 
                 unchanged.
