Purpose of the program
----------------------
   This all-graphic (GUI) program is an electronic guide to William
   Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".  The guide includes the
   complete text of the play, extensive introductory and supplementary
   material, a thorough glossary, comments, variant readings, a quiz
   and over eighty illustrations.  The program provides the capability
   to display the text of the play in several different fonts and
   formats, search for all occurrences of specified words, and append
   additional notes.  Sections are included on the play, Elizabethan
   theaters, language, text, critical comments, possible sources,
   editors, dates, Shakespeare's times, a collection of famous
   Shakespearean quotes and an introduction to "The Tempest".

Requirements

   IBM-compatible PC, 640K, an EGA or VGA monitor, MS-DOS or Windows,
   and approximately 1.6 megabytes of disk space.  A mouse is optional.

Installation - MS-DOS

   It is recommended that the files be unzipped into a directory named
   "sg"; however, this is not required.

   To run this program from the hard drive, type:

	   at the C\> prompt...       cd\sg   [or the appropriate directory]
    then at the C\SG> prompt...       sg

Installation - Windows
----------------------
   To install the program on the hard drive and add as an icon in
   Windows, unzip all files into a directory named "sg" then, from the
   Program Manager type:

	 File (Alt-F),
	 New (N),
	 Program Group (G),
	 OK (Return),
	 type "Study Guide" as the Description,
	 type "\SG\SG.GRP" as the Group File,
	 OK (Return)

